Networking:
it is possible to connect up to 11 gas detectors in network (also of mixed type GSX and GSW) by using
a serial communication link.
Only one of the networked gas leak detectors should be defined as the main leak detector (Master),
to which the solenoid valve should be connected if required, while the other networked detectors
should be configured as secondary detectors (Slave). Connect the leak detectors via relative terminals
(NET + / -), with reference to figure 5; only use shielded paired cables. Total length of the connections
should be less than 1000m.
Caution: observe the polarity of the cables.
Network installation (Caution: it is compulsory to repeat this procedure whenever adding,
removing or replacing a networked leak detector):
N.B.: when making subsequent modifications to the network (addition, replacement or removal of gas
leak detectors to/from the network), first operation to perform is that of resetting the main (master)
detector to the original conditions as secondary (slave) detector; to do so, activate the "Set Master"
procedure, then briefly press the "Prog" button.
- After making the network connection of the leak detector, proceed to define one detector as main
(master) and all the others as secondary (slaves) (see "Programming" section; the leak detectors are
factory set as "slave")
- Activate the "set Master" procedure on the leak detector to be set as main (master) (see
"Programming" section), the master will be placed in wait phase with green LED flashing and the first
red LED lit up; within 20 seconds, again press the "Prog" button to start the network installation
- Briefly press the "Prog" button to send the command to all the networked gas leak detectors: the sec
ondary detectors will be placed on stand-by.
