- Briefly press the "Prog" button on each slave in order to network it and automatically assign its
address. Successful conclusion of the operation is confirmed by a beep; if the confirming beep is not
given, check network link
- Lastly, briefly press the "Prog" button on the master: a beep will be given by way of confirmation.
Wait for 30 sec before quitting the programming mode: all the leak detectors are reset and the
network is configured
The master interrogates the slaves at regular intervals. In the case of faulty operation or alarms, it acts
accordingly. If a slave leak detector enters alarm status, likewise the master is placed under alarm,
thus switching the relay and tripping the solenoid valve; the flashing green LED on the master
indicates that the alarm has been transmitted by a slave.
Caution: NEVER connect solenoid valves to the secondary (slave) leak detectors, only the
solenoid valve connected to the main (master) detector is tripped if an alarm occurs to one of
the slaves in the network.
If simultaneous monitoring of two or more gases is required, separate networks of leak detectors must
be provided (e.g. a network of detectors for natural gas and a network of detectors for LPG)
Test:
The test procedure should be activated after each installation or change to the configuration. In all
cases, it should be activated periodically to check the instruments for correct operation.
To activate the test procedure, press the "Prog" button for 25 seconds: the LED, buzzers and relay will
be activated intermittently. If one or more of these components fail to respond adequately, send the
instrument to the technical service.
To end the test procedure, wait for 10 – 20 seconds.
When two or more sensors are installed in network, activation of the test procedure by the main
(master) detector, will cause activation of the test procedure on all the secondary (slave) detectors. If
the test procedure is activated by one of the secondary (slave) detectors, the procedure will be
automatically activated also on the main (master) detector; in this way, it is possible to check for
correct operation of the network and to make sure that the solenoid valve is tripped when there is an
22
alarm from a secondary (slave) detector.
