If the 2D code could not be detected after 90 seconds,
the scan process will be canceled. You can start a second
attempt. If the second attempt fails also, enter the VARTA
code manually.
If the 2nd code has been detected and the battery
is correct, the message 2D code has been verifi ed
is displayed.
In order to enter the VARTA code manually:
Tap on the entry fi eld.
A keyboard will be displayed.
To switch the keyboard to digits, in the lower left tap
on the ?123 button.
To switch the keyboard to back to letters, in the lower left
tap on the ABC button.
Enter the 12-place VARTA code that is imprinted
on the battery under the 2D code.
Tap on the Enter button.
The entered VARTA code will be displayed in the entry
fi eld.
Tap on the Next button.
The VSSP 2.0 checks whether the battery corresponds
to the recommended specifi cation. If the battery
is correct, the message 2D code has been verifi ed
is displayed.
Tap on the Next button.
In the Battery Location screen the installation position of
the battery in the vehicle is shown.
