5. Configuration of the system in the plant
After wiring the electrics and the communications network of the entire self-consumption system, follow the
guidelines that show below.
1.
Allocation of IP addresses of the Ethernet network*.
2.
Wattmeter configuration.
3.
On PV generation units, select Self-consumption > Limited EMS Manager mode.
4.
Configuration of the parameters required in units used for storage.
5.
Configuration of the modbus addresses in the units of the system.
* If the installation has Internet access, the range of IP addresses will coincide with that allocated by the router.
The INGECON EMS Manager and the units of the installation must be set with a static IP address.
The configuration parameters of the wattmeter depend on the characteristics of the installation. See
the INGECON EMS Manager manual for this information.
To configure the set-up on the display of the units, see the installation manual of the corresponding
unit.
Ingeteam recommends coding the modbus addresses of the RS-485 network for the following
reasons: first code to indicate the phase and second code to indicate the number of the unit. In this
way, it is easy to recognise units with the unique information of their modbus node.
5.1. System parameters
Ingeteam recommends completing the following table with the data from the units in the system. Through this
practice all the information required for its subsequent configuration will be at hand.
