 Macerator starts to run and sounds
normal (running) then stops after 5-10
min. Restarts after 30 to 60 min.
 Alarm is activated
Toilet Flushes normally but macerator does not
turn on or just hums
 Green light is on steady (solid)
Waste build up in the bowl
Water is unable to enter the macerator's holding tank
The toilet or discharge extension might be
blocked.
Blocked vent
The macerator is unable to evacuate its holding tank and is cycling on thermal overload
Damaged Impeller
Check valve stuck closed
Internal hose is damaged or disconnected
If the macerator was installed with a ball valve
in the discharge line, is the valve open?
Air lock
Volute inlet plugged
The macerator is jammed
The cutters are jammed preventing the motor
from turning
The impeller is jammed preventing the unit
from turning
Internal motor problem
The toilet has an inadequate flush or possible blockage of the strainer basket

The piping must be cleaned.
Confirm the vent pipe is clear of obstruction – remove
obstruction if blocked.
DO NOT USE A QUICK VENT
Replace impeller
Confirm the check valve is functioning properly; if not it
must be remedied or replaced.
Confirm the internal hose is functioning properly; if not it
must be replaced.
Open ball valve
The volute has a passage way to allow trapped air to
escape, this passage way must be cleaned of
obstruction
The volute's inlet, bottom of power cartridge, requires
cleaning – remove obstruction
Clear the cutters of blockage
Clear the impeller of blockage
The power cartridge must be replaced
