saFety InstrUctIOns

Never deposit or use the thermometer on hot surfaces, close to open gas flames or hot
objects such as stove tops. otherwise, the housing will melt.
• Use the thermometer only with batteries approved by the manufacturer.
• Use the thermometer indoors only.
• Keep the thermometer in a dry place.
• Some kind of supervision is required when using the thermometer around children.
• children must not play with the thermometer. It includes small parts (battery and battery
cover) which may cause suffocation if swallowed.
• Use the thermometer only for applications as specified in these instructions for use.
• The thermometer is exclusively intended for measuring human body temperature, as well as for
the measuringspots in the human body as specified in the instructions for use.
• Using the thermometer in the vicinity of strong electromagnetic fields, e.g. next to a mobile
telephone, may cause malfunctions.
• Please immediately contact your general practitioner in case of conspicuous results.
• This thermometer is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical,
sensorial or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or lacking knowledge, unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they were instructed on the use of the
thermometer.
• Never allow children to play with the packing material, as there is a danger of suffocation.
• cleaning and general maintenance work may only be carried out by children when
supervised.
metrOlOGIcal checK (FOr cOmmercIal Use)
The thermometer was calibrated by the manufacturer for the duration of two years. For commercial
use, a metrological check must be made at least every two years. The check is subject to a charge
and can be accomplished by the responsible authorities or by authorised maintenance service
agencies in compliance with the "Medical Device operator ordinance".

DIsPOsal

Power tools, accessories, and packaging should be recycled in an environmentally suitable
manner.
Only for eU countries:
Do not throw power tools in with the domestic waste! In accordance with the
European Directive 2002/96/Ec on waste electrical and electronic equipment
and its implementation into national law, nonfunctioning power tools must be
collected separately and recycled in an environmentally suitable manner.
