13.3 DIGITAL INPUT

The digital input is activated through a dry contact in the terminals UP and DW to the common (CM). When adjusted in the rated
voltage and pressuring the buttons UP or DW, the voltage goes up to the maximum or down to the minimum in 7 seconds.

FIRST USE

Steps for connection the analog regulator:
Connect the cables coming from the generator according to the terminals description on items 18 and 19 and the type of
generator connection that must be used (items 15 and 16);
Before the generator is turned on, the primary mover should be started and ran at its rated speed.
The generator should start without load. The potentiometer for Voltage adjustment should be configured to the minimum
voltage to avoid generator runaway in the case of incorrect connections.
The potentiometer for stability should be placed in the middle of its course. This potentiometer acts on the dynamic
response of the machine and does not affect the normal permanent operation.
The Potentiometer for adjustment of the U/F protection should be maintained with the factory configuration since all units
are tested and configured before leaving the factory. It is necessary to adjust the frequency jumper 50/60Hz according to
the frequency that must be used. If there are problems starting the generator with U/F actuated (verify the corresponding
LED), it can be configured during the operation.
Turn on the start switch. Field flashing should take less than 3 seconds. If there is not field flashing or if the fuse blows,
check item 28 - before contacting the manufacturer.
After starting, regulate the stability potentiometer, applying and taking out load until reaching the point where voltage does
not oscillate (minimal oscillation) with load variation.
