3.3 Address assignment
Before connecting to the AS−Interface bus: assign an
unused address to each slave.
Note
Valve terminal type VTSA−ASI−...−8E8A−Z contains two
AS−Interface slaves. The valve terminal behaves on the
AS−Interface bus like 2 individual valve terminals each
with 4 inputs and 4 outputs.
Permitted address range for each slave: 1
(Factory settings: 1 for slave 1, 2 for slave 2).
It is not necessary to parametrize the AS−interface
slaves.
Address both slaves one after the other at the plug
AS−i In" (see section 3.5).
Note
Never assign the same address to both slaves.
The assignment of the data bits to the inputs and outputs
of both independent slaves is shown in the following
diagram.

The address mapping depends on the configuration of the
master.
