INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
2. Do not use outdoors.
3. Do not let power supply cords touch hot surfaces.
4. Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
5. Equipment shall be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not readily be subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel.

7. The use of accessory equipment not recommended by Sure-Lites may cause an unsafe condition.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
8.
CAUTION: This equipment is furnished with a sophisticated low voltage battery dropout circuit to protect battery from over discharge after
its useful output has been used. Allow 24 hours recharge time after installation or power failure for full load testing.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE: SERVICE OF ANY PARTS SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.
Step 1. To replace battery, remove unit from back plate and remove two diagonal screws and battery hold down bracket. The expected life of the
battery is 8 to 10 years provided it is continually connected to the energized charge circuit.
Battery life will be affected by temperature; higher temperature will shorten it and lower temperature will lengthen it. It is recommended that
the unit be tested regularly in accordance with local codes to insure its proper operation in the event of a power failure.
Step 2. To replace lamps, unscrew end ring and remove dome with lamp assembly inside. Rotate lamp assembly so that back of reflector faces open
end of dome. Remove reflector and lamp from lens by unhooking side latches.
Step 3. When the "charge test" button is glowing red, it indicates that the unit is connected to an AC supply and that the battery is being kept in a
charged state. Depressing the button simulates a power failure and causes the lamps to come on. If the button is not glowing, check the unit
for the cause.
