8. Operation
FIRE HAZARD!
Place the device on a dry, level, non-slip
and heat-resistant surface.
The device must not be operated close
to flammable liquids or materials, or in
a potentially explosive environment.
Keep at a distance of at least 30 cm
from walls.
In order to prevent an overheating of
the device, do not cover the device and
do not cover the ventilation slots 6 on
the underside of the device.
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning!
The fan 9 (especially the metal parts),
the lid 1, the food dehydrator trays 2/3
and the food to be dehydrated may be-
come hot during operation. During op-
eration, only touch the handles and
control elements 5 of the device.
After the device is switched off, let the
device and the dehydrated food cool
before you remove the dehydrated food
and the device is cleaned.
8.1 Assembling and filling
the device
NOTES:
• Figure A: the top food dehydrator
tray 2 must always be used, and it must
always be placed at the top. It can be
identified by the closed cover 11 in the
middle.
• Figure A: you can vary the number of
food dehydrator trays 3. These can be
identified by the openings 10 in the
middle.
Setting the spacing
For slightly larger food, the spacing between
the food dehydrator trays 2/3 can be in-
creased.
• Normal spacing: for the smaller
spacing, place the food dehydrator
trays over one another such that the 6
narrow and 6 wide brackets on the
edge of the food dehydrator trays are
offset from one another.
• Larger spacing: for the larger spac-
ing, place the food dehydrator trays
over one another such that the narrow
and wide brackets are arranged above
one another.
Filling
1. Place the base unit 8 on a dry, level,
non-slip surface.
2. Fill the food dehydrator trays 2/3 with
the prepared food to be dehydrated.
Ensure not to overload the food dehy-
drator trays. Air should be able to still
circulate through the mesh screens of
the food dehydrator trays. Spread the
food evenly on the food dehydrator
trays and avoid placing the food to be
dehydrated in several layers on one
tray.
