9 POSITIONING AND FIXING
The device has to be positioned centralwise as to the wireless detectors used for assuring good radio reception. It can be fixed to the wall, but it
must not be placed in metal furniture.
Consider the following elements:
•
good radio reception and transmission (Field Meter)
•
facility of the planned wire connections
•
installation in an area protected from at least one volumetric detector
•
audibility of the sonorous signals (adjustable intensity)
•
visibility of led pilots and display
NOTICE: correct pos itioning of the device must be preferred to aesthetical reasons which could affect good functioning of the system.
10 PROGRAMMING-PREPARATION
PROGRAMMING modality is obtained as follows:
1) not supplied device: connecting power the PROGRAMMING is accessed after a few seconds (see led pilot)
2) supplied device: entering in TEST and then opening the box, i.e. the tamper contact.
Programming is made by use of the green-red-white buttons of R-Evolution (or by using the same buttons on a PCK) as follows:
green button:
selects ZONE (A-B-C-24h1-24h2) of programming – each press will change zone
white button:
selects position (from 1 to 96) of the detector – each press will move forward the number
red button:
activates -disactivates the entry delay, equal to 30 seconds (invariable)
red and green buttons: pressed together for about 1 sec. will activate the "AND" function
red and green buttons: pressed together for about 10 sec. will cancel the selected detector.
Entry delay: each detector can be programmed for alarm-delay with 30 seconds. Such delay will be obtained on the switching of the general
alarm, whereas the zone alarms will remain immediate.
"AND" function: each position may include two "and" detectors: in such case alarm will only be originated if both the detectors transmit alarm
within 30 sec. maximum one from the other. This is a useful function to avoid improper alarms in particular situations (for instance outdoors).
11 PROGRAMMING SEQUENCE
1) Activate the ANTISCANNER by closing the shunts: the buzzer will notify any possible radio-interference.
2) Connect a charged battery and wait for 20 sec. for the setting of the receiver.
3) Press the RESET button for cancelling any possible testing programme (BEEEEEEEP).
4) R-Evolution will notify the led pilot PROGR.-TEST flashing, and will be ready for PROGRAMMING.
5) Adjust BEEP intensity as desired.
6) Programme possible remote controls by pressing the red and green buttons together until a BEEP confirmation
7) Programme possible keyboard codes by entering 4 digits followed by pressing red and green buttons together until a BEEP confirmation.
8) Select the A-B-C zone where to programme the first detector (for instance A will show A1 on the display) with the green button of
R-Evolution. For entering "entry delay" press the red button. For entering "and" press red and green buttons together.
9) Remark the assigned number and programme the detector by inserting the battery: a BEEP from R-Evolution will confirm and the display
will move to the following position. In case the "and" function should be required the diplay number will flash, waiting the second detector.
10) Programme further detectors as above indicated (steps 8 and 9). In case it should be necessary to assign precise positions not following the
standard order, search these by pressing the white button.
11) Select the 24h1 and 24h2 zones and programme possible detectors either as above indicated, or by pressing the yellow or blue button on
the remote control for 10 sec., until a confirmation BEEP is heard.
The programming is permanently stored on the extractable Eprom also when the battery is disconnected. All data can be cancelled only by
pressing RESET. The extractable Eprom can be taken out (pay attention to first taking off the supply of the device!) and transferred into a new
control unit. Once the programming has been completed, test please the correct reception, then proceed with the wire connection (see scheme).
12 CHANGES OR VARIATIONS TO THE SYSTEM (these operations require R-Evolution to be switched onTEST modality)
Addition of PCK remote controls and KEYPAD codes: please follow the instructions as per par.11(6).
Cancellation of PCK controls (first these will have to be cancelled, then to be reprogrammed): press the red and green buttons together for
10 sec.: a long BEEEEEP will confirm that cancellation took place.
Cancellation of single KEYPAD codes: digit the code, then press red and green buttons together for 10 sec. until the final BEEEEEP.
Addition/removal of detectors: opening the device allows access to PROGRAMMING where position and features of the detectors can be
modified. For changes of the "entry delay" search for the position with the white button of the remote control, and change with the red button. For
changes of the "and" function sensors will have to be cancelled. For cancelling a detector search for its position and press red and green buttons
together for 10 sec. (BEEEEEP will confirm that removal took place).
Replacement of the receiver: in case of failure it will be possible to replace the device with an identical one saving the complete programming. It
will be necessary to cut the power supply, to take out the Eprom (see scheme) and to place it into the new unit.
