You can select the Standard Quality mode SQ or the High
Quality modes HQ/SHQ.

In the Record mode, turn on the LCD monitor and press
the Menu button. Press the bottom arrow on the Jog dial

Use the control panel and the Jog dial when the LCD
monitor is off.

Press the right arrow on the Jog dial to select SQ, HQ or
SHQ.
The selected recording mode appears on the control panel.

The number of storable pictures varies according to
the recording mode. TIFF requires more room in the
card than other modes. (p. 76)
You can select VGA (640 x 480 pixels) or XGA (1024 x
768 pixels) for the SQ mode. (p. 174)
You can select JPEG (compression) or TIFF (non-
compression) for the SHQ mode. (p. 174)
