The Spot metering mode is used to obtain the right
exposure regardless of the backlight. Place the subject in
the center of the autofocus mark.

In the Record mode, turn on the LCD monitor and press
the Menu button to select
Use the control panel and the Jog dial when the LCD
monitor is off.

Press the right arrow on the Jog dial to select the Spot
metering mode
The Spot mode indicator appears on the control panel.

Position your subject within the autofocus mark and press
