BALANCING THE CENTRE OF GRAVITY

GB
GB
An airplane's centre of gravity is designed to be in
a certain relation to its lifting areas and the
Skydreamer
it is set up correctly on delivery.
The margin at which the centre of gravity may
move in relation to the ideal set up is very small.
You can check the centre of gravity of the
Skydreamer
by holding it up at the points
shown (140 mm from the rear edge of the wing)
with two fingers. It should then slightly swing
around the horizontal position and not be inclined
to the front or rear.
If the nose or tail sections have a tendency to tilt
downwards, the weight is biased in this direction.
Occasionally the centre of gravity of the aeroplane
may have to be corrected e.g. after a repair, by the
addition of small weights. These should be applied

CONNECTING THE FLIGHT BATTERY

As a safety measure we recommend connecting
the flight battery shortly before each flight as
follows:
-
Make sure that the receiver switch is in the
"OFF" position.
-
Make sure that no other model in the area is
operating on your frequency.
-
Switch on the transmitter. The throttle stick
has to be in the lowest position (throttle off)
-
Attach the battery connector to the flight
controller connector and note the shape of
the plug which will only fit in one direction.
The flight controller's connector and battery
connector should clip firmly together.
-
Keep clear of propeller rotation.
-
Re-attach the wing using rubber rings.
-
Raise the plane and switch on the receiver.
The servo may give a short twitch without
the stick being moved, this is not an
indication of any interference.
-
Repeated and uncontrolled movements by
the servo mean that the receiver is reacting
to foreign (radio) signals. This may be as a
result of weak transmitter batteries or strong
