BATTERY TEST
T urning the unit O Nwill automatically run the battery function test
and display the battery condition on the U NITSLE Ddisplay. T o view
the remaining battery life, press and hold the O N/O FFbutton.
1. SENSITIVITY LEVELS
55200 offers six sensitivity levels (1-6). The highest sensitivity will detect a 1/10 oz leak per year. T urn O N
the unit, it will default to Level 5. (Level 5 is the recommended setting to begin inspection). T o view the
sensitivity level on the LE Ddisplay, press either the U P or DO WN arrow. The LE Ddisplay will illuminate for
approximately two seconds. (O ne red LE Dfor every sensitivity level.) O ne illuminated red LE Dis the lowest
sensitivity setting and six illuminated red LE DSare the highest.
Low Sensitivity
Setting (RED)
The sensitivity level can be increased by the U Parrow and decreased by the DO W Narrow. P ressing the
selected arrow once will adjust the sensitivity to the next level. P ressing and holding the arrow will continue
to move the setting until the arrow is released.
2. DETECTIO N LEVELS
55200 offers 15 levels of detection. As the unit approaches the leak source and the refrigerant concentra-
tion increases, the audible alarm will increase in speed and the LE Dwill progress through a series of three
colors, R ed, Y ellow and G reen. The LE Dwill display 5 levels of detection in each color range.
Low Detection
Levels (RED)
The detection level will vary depending on the level of the sensitivity setting. The same size leak will display
higher detection levels in higher sensitivity settings and lower detection levels in the lower sensitivity
settings.
3. RESET FUNCTIO N
The primary use for the R E SE Tfunction is to pinpoint the leak source. W hen the unit detects a leak and goes
into full alarm, press the RE SE T button. R esetting will ignore any leaks at that level and only detect leaks of
higher concentration.
UV/BLUELIG HT
The U V /Blue light can be used to help detect leaks in systems containing U ltra V iolet Dye. The light can be
activated by pressing the U VLight button. This function will operate with the unit O Nor O FF .

IMPO RTANT LEAK DETECTIO N TIPS:
A. Make sure that the air conditioning/refrigeration system is turned O FFbefore inspection. Asufficient
amount of refrigerant must be present in the system. Aminimum gauge pressure of 50 P SI at ambient
temperature of 60˚ and above with the system O FFis required for efficient leak detection.
