Proximity reader via radio NEXT
•
The NEXT series of proximity readers are made in
aluminum die-casting.
•
Operation via radio frequency: the device transmits the code to a
V2 (433.92 MHz) receiver.
•
2 signaling LEDs and 1 acoustic signaler
•
6 way dip-switches for configuration of up to15 different devices
with the same MASTER card
•
Available in the outdoors version NEXT-RSE and the column
version NEXT-RSG for GARDO columns series
•
Operation with UNIQUE key access (model NEXT-TAG and
NEXT-CARD) codified from the manufacturer; the keys
memorized in the device activate the radio transmission of the
Personal Pass code (with active Rolling code)
•
Initialization of the device through the MASTER card serialized
with the PROGTAG. The MASTER card does not activate the
radio transmission, but serves the purpose of memorizing the
contract and the sequential control number on the device, which
are later transmitted via radio when a UNIQUE key is passed in
front of the reader.

SIGNALS
The device signals the status
changes through red LEDs and
a buzzer (an acoustic signaler).
LED L1: the reader is
illuminated when it is
approached by an object and
extinguishes when the device
transmits the code.
LED L2: emits signaling in
programming phase.
Buzzer: it emits a BEEP when it recognizes a UNIQUE memorized key
that enables the transmission
Battery is discharged: LEDs L1 and L2 flash for 1 second
accompanied by short BEEPs.
INSTALLATION OF BATTERIES
In order to install the batteries proceed as follows:
1. Remove the front panel A making leverage with a flat screwdriver
(Fig 2).
2. Unscrew the 4 M screws and extract device C from the base B
(Fig 1).
3. Unscrew the 4 N screws and remove the posterior cover D.
4. Insert the batteries in the appropriate lodging case respecting the
polarity indicated in the battery case (Fig.4)
When the battery is discharged the device emits short BEEPs and
flashes for 1 second. It is necessary to replace the battery.
ATTENTION: Use only ALKALINE AAA 1.5V, 1100mA
batteries.

SETTING UP THE DEVICE THROUGH DIP-
SWITCHES
If the system requires the use of more than one proximity reader
initialized with the MASTER card, it is necessary to set up various
combinations of dip-switches 1,2,3,4 on each single reader of
proximity. In the following table are listed 16 possible combinations:

INITIALIZATION OF THE PROXIMITY READER
NEXT must be initialized with a Personal Pass code by holding up to
the reader a MASTER card serialized with the contract and the
desired sequential (sequential control number).
With MASTER card it is possible to:
•
memorize the Personal Pass code in the NEXT reader
•
activate the memorization mode of 400 UNIQUE keys
•
cancel a single UNIQUE key (only if in possession of the key to
cancel)
•
cancel all UNIQUE keys in memory
•
override the MASTER card with another in order to change the
contract and the sequential
For initialization of the device proceed as follows:
1. Approach the MASTER card to the reader: LED L1 is illuminated in
order to indicate the wait for a valid card.
2. When it recognizes a MASTER card LED L2 also illuminates
3. The device waits for the valid reading of a MASTER card for 5
seconds (LED L1 and L2 illuminated)
4. After 5 seconds it emits 2 BEEPs of 1 second accompanied by
flashes of L1 and L2 and it returns to the energy saving mode.
5. The device has learned the contract and the sequential of the
MASTER card that will be transmitted via radio (with active
Rolling code)
MEMORIZATION OF UNIQUE KEYS
It is possible to memorize up to 400 UNIQUE keys in the inner NEXT
memory; the memorized keys activate the transmission of the
Personal Pass code learned from the MASTER card.
NOTE: the keys not present in memory do not give place to
signaling of any kind.
1. Approach the MASTER card (used for the initialization) to the
reader: LED L1 is illuminated
2. When it recognizes the MASTER card also illuminates LED L2
3. After 5 seconds it emits 1 BEEP of 1 second and I flash of L1 and
L2 (if the MASTER card does not correspond to one memorized it
returns to low power consumption mode)
4. LED L1 and L2 are illuminated alternated for 10 seconds signaling
the wait for a UNIQUE key
5. The key approached to the reader becomes memorized and the
device emits a BEEP of 1 second and 1 flash of LEDs L1 and L2
6. The LED restarts flashing alternated for 10 seconds while waiting
for a new UNIQUE key
ATTENTION: If the memory is full LEDs L1 and L2 emit 15 short
flashes and the device returns to low power consumption
mode
