Backrest
• Undo the elastic strap behind the backrest (Fig. 19-1).
• Remove the cover from the hooks on the back (fig. 19-2).
• Pull the cover over the lumbar supports (Fig. 20-1). Make sure the foam parts stay in place.
• Remove the cover from the hooks on the inside of the backrest (Fig. 20-2).
• Remove the cover from the hooks at the bottom of the lumbar supports (Fig. 20-3).
Headrest
• Undo the elastic strap behind the headrest (Fig. 21-1)
• Remove the cover from the hooks on the back (Rig. 21-2).
• Remove the cover from the headrest (Fig. 22-1) and from behind the red-marked belt hooks (Fig.22-2).
Make sure the foam part stays in place.
• Remove the elastic strap from behind the hooks at the bottom of the backrest.
To refit the cover, follow these instructions in reverse order. Make sure the cover is securely fastened behind the
hooks, and behind both the red belt-marked hooks on the headrest (Fig. 21-2) as well as the red-marked openings in
the booster seat (Fig.18-3), so that the car seat belt can be threaded through them easily and correctly.
Checklist
Read through the checklist before every trip!
• Check to make sure the Rodi XP is installed properly in the car.
• Check to make sure your child is fastened tightly and securely, and that the shoulder belt is at the correct height
(Fig 16). (The tighter the belt, the better protected your child).
• Check to make sure both the lap belt and shoulder belt are threaded under the armrests through the red-marked
openings.
• Check to make sure the shoulder belt is sfitted in front of your child not behind his back.
• Check to make sure both shoulder supports are in the (same) correct position.
• Check to make sure the Rodi XP is securely placed in one of the two positions on the Comfort Base mounting plate.
• Check to make sure the Rodi XP is fastened in the seat belt when not in use.
Any loose objects in a car can constitute a danger for passengers.
Important!
• Make sure the seat belt is not twisted.
• The seat belt must rest flat and tightly across the body.
• Make sure the shoulder belt is not resting against the child's neck but on his shoulder (Fig. 16).
• The lap belt must not rest on the child's stomach but on the upper legs/pelvic region.
• If it is not possible to fasten the seat belt properly or tightly enough, contact your supplier immediately. Do not use
the Rodi XP under any circumstances.
Questions
If you have any questions or a warranty claim, contact your retailer or importer (see address list on the back of the
instruction manual). Make sure you have the following details on hand:
• Both numbers (including the serial number) on the orange part of the sticker under of the booster seat.
• Make and type of vehicle and seating position on which the Rodi XP is being used.
• Your child's age, height and weight.
