The Secure Router 2330 has two internal, non-removable fans. Allow
sufficient clearance for maintenance and for proper airflow. Keep cable
bundles clear of the intake and exhaust vents.
Installing the Secure Router 2330/4134 in an equipment rack
Required tool: Phillips screwdriver for attaching brackets to the switch.

The Secure Router 2330 requires one rack unit (1.75 inches, 44.45
millimeters)
•
The Secure Router 4134 requires two rack units (3.5 inches, 88.90
millimeters)
•
The rack must be bolted to the floor, and braced if necessary.
•
The rack must be grounded to the same grounding electrode used by
the power service in the area. The ground path must be permanent
and must not exceed 1 ohm of resistance from the rack to the
grounding electrode.

Ensure that the mounting brackets are firmly installed on the chassis.
•
Ensure that you have appropriate antistatic materials.
•
Nortel recommends that you have two people ready to help lift the
Secure Router 4134 into the equipment rack and securing it.
Follow these steps to install the Secure Router 2330/4134 in an equipment
rack:

CAUTION
Risk of equipment damage
Always wear an antistatic wrist strap connected to an ESD
jack to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
WARNING
Risk of injury
The Secure Router 4134 weighs approximately 25 lb (11.34
kg) with one power supply and the fan tray installed. To
prevent injury, keep your back straight and lift with your
legs, not your back.
Action
Attach a mounting bracket to each side of the router.
