WirelessPairingfortheFirstTime

When pairing with the transmitter for the first time, ensure that the transmitting device and the WS-10 are within 2 metres of each
other. Turn the WS-10 on at both the mains switch and the power mode switch (not auto). The LED will flash blue and within 15
seconds turn the transmitting device on (ASB-10 or WT-1). When they have paired, the LED on the WS-10 will turn solid blue. The
WS-10 will now turn on and off automatically when the transmitter is turned on and off.
When using the wireless input, the receiver (built into the WS-10) will start to look for the transmitter as soon as it is powered on.
The first 3 seconds are to search for the last connected device and the following 15 seconds it hunts for new devices (if it doesnt
find a previously paired one). If there is no device found, it would then go into wireless standby mode and will connect to the last
device once the signal is detected.
When using multiple devices with Monitor Audio transmitters and receivers in them, we would recommend not using them in close
proximity to each other. You will need to turn them on and pair them up one set at a time.
In normal use, once the pairing is done, it would only connect to the last device - i.e. the one that just paired in the setup. So if you
want to pair to new device, you have to repeat the above setup procedure again.
Positioning/InitialSetUp
Disconnect and leave the subwoofer unplugged from the mains until the installation procedure is completed.
The subwoofer should be sited in the most suitable position, preferably not directly in the corner of a room as this may cause
excessive bass boom. Once a desirable position is achieved it is important to check if the cables are long enough to reach comfortably
without being under tension. The optimal control settings will depend entirely on system configuration, room environment and
personal tastes. However, for initial trials set the controls as follows:
Volume Control
Bass Control
Phase Control
Mode Switch
12v Trigger (optional)
Input
Never connect or disconnect the RCA input leads with the subwoofer switched on.
Should be set to approximately 10 o'clock.
Should be set to Movie.
Should be set to zero degrees.
Should be set to 'On' .
Do not connect at this stage.
If using the analogue LFE input, connect the cable at this stage. If using
the wireless input, either connect the wireless transmitter (sold
separately) to the AV receiver and turn both on or if using the ASB-10,
turn this on now.
