• The diagonal section should pass through the two belt guides (marked with blue
stickers), going around the back of the headrest (fig.08).
• Lastly, tighten each of the seat belt sections, firmly fastening the SCOUT to the
vehicle seat (fig.09).
WARNING: When installing the SCOUT as group 0+, only the most reclined position
can be used (marked with a blue arrow).
WARNING: Before seating the child in the SCOUT, make sure that the harness is
in the correct position. To do this check the relevant harness adjustment section.
• Loosen the SCOUT safety harness, and unfasten the buckle by pressing the central
red button.
• Separate the two parts of the harness and seat the child in the SCOUT. Bring the two
sides back together and insert them into the buckle (fig.10).
• Lastly, tighten the harness until it fits the child correctly (fig.11-12).
• To get the child out and remove the SCOUT, follow the steps in reverse.
Installation as group I (9-18 kg)
WARNING: Reclining position 1 or 2.
• Place the backrest in either reclining position 1 or 2 (see section on adjusting the
reclining position).
• Place the SCOUT on the vehicle seat facing forwards and press it against the
backrest. Make sure that is firmly fitted to the backrest of the vehicle seat (fig.13).
• Take hold of the seat belt buckle, pass the abdominal section of the belt through
the slot between the backrest and the seat of the SCOUT, and the diagonal section
through the belt guide on the headrest (fig.14-15).
• Insert the buckle through the side slot in the headrest, and insert it again through the
slot on the other side. Fasten the seat belt buckle (fig.16).
• Loosen the SCOUT safety harness, and unfasten the buckle by pressing the central
red button.
• Separate the two parts of the harness and seat the child in the SCOUT. Bring the two
sides back together and insert them into the buckle (fig.10).
• Lastly, tighten the harness until it fits the child correctly (fig.17).
Installation as group ll (15-25 kg)
WARNING: Before using the SCOUT as group ll (from 15 to 25 kg), you need to
remove the safety harness. To do this consult the relevant section.
WARNING: Reclining position 1.
• Place the backrest in either reclining position 1 or 2 (see section on adjusting the
reclining position).
