Adjusting the harness
•
Loosen the safety harness before placing the child in the seat. Keep the harness
adjustment button pressed while you pull both shoulder straps (do not pull the chest
pads) (fig.01).
•
Find the distribution plate on the back of the backrest. Release the harness straps
and remove the protector pads releasing them from the fastening buckle (fig.02).
•
Decide on the correct harness position (fig.03), and insert the harness straps and
protector pad straps through the slots in the backrest (fig.04).
•
Fasten the harness straps to the distribution plate, as well as the protector pad
straps (fig.05).
NOTE: Make sure that the harness is correctly fastened to the distribution plate
and that the harness straps are not twisted.
NOTE: Both belts and straps should be at the same height.
Adjusting the reclining position
NOTE: The seat has three reclining positions, deciding which one to use depends
on the type of installation you are going to use.
•
Pull the lower front lever and keep hold of it.
•
Push the backrest to the required position and release the lever.
•
Description of the three reclining positions:
Group 0+ (from 0 to 13 kg): position 3.
Group l (from 9 to 18 kg): position 1 or 2.
Group ll (from 15 to 25 kg): position 1.
Group ll (from 15 to 25 kg): position 2.
Installation as group 0+ (0-13 kg)
WARNING: Do not install the child safety seat in the rear facing position on front
seats fitted with an airbag without deactivating the airbag first.
WARNING: The SCOUT only has one reclining position when used as a group 0+
(from 0 to 13 kg).
•
For group 0+, the seat should be installed in the rear facing position and in the most
reclined position (position 3).
•
Place the SCOUT on the vehicle seat, and gently press it against the backrest
(fig.06).
•
Pass the abdominal section of the vehicle seat belt through the armrests, and fasten
the seat belt buckle (fig.07).
