Adjusting the harness

Loosen the safety harness before placing the child in the seat. Keep the harness
adjustment button pressed while you pull both shoulder straps (do not pull the chest
pads) (fig.01).
Find the distribution plate on the back of the backrest. Release the harness straps
and remove the protector pads releasing them from the fastening buckle (fig.02).
Decide on the correct harness position (fig.03), and insert the harness straps and
protector pad straps through the slots in the backrest (fig.04).
Fasten the harness straps to the distribution plate, as well as the protector pad
straps (fig.05).
NOTE: Make sure that the harness is correctly fastened to the distribution plate
and that the harness straps are not twisted.
NOTE: Both belts and straps should be at the same height.

Adjusting the reclining position

NOTE: The seat has three reclining positions, deciding which one to use depends
on the type of installation you are going to use.
Pull the lower front lever and keep hold of it.
Push the backrest to the required position and release the lever.
Description of the three reclining positions:
Group 0+ (from 0 to 13 kg): position 3.
Group l (from 9 to 18 kg): position 1 or 2.
Group ll (from 15 to 25 kg): position 1.
Group ll (from 15 to 25 kg): position 2.
Installation as group 0+ (0-13 kg)
WARNING: Do not install the child safety seat in the rear facing position on front
seats fitted with an airbag without deactivating the airbag first.
WARNING: The SCOUT only has one reclining position when used as a group 0+
(from 0 to 13 kg).
For group 0+, the seat should be installed in the rear facing position and in the most
reclined position (position 3).
Place the SCOUT on the vehicle seat, and gently press it against the backrest
(fig.06).
Pass the abdominal section of the vehicle seat belt through the armrests, and fasten
the seat belt buckle (fig.07).
