Place the SCOUT on the vehicle seat facing forwards and press it against the
backrest (fig.18). Make sure that is firmly fitted to the backrest of the vehicle seat.
•
Seat the child in the SCOUT (fig.19).
•
Take hold of the seat belt buckle, pass the diagonal section through the belt guide
on the headrest of the SCOUT.
•
Pass the abdominal section through the slot between the backrest and the seat.
•
Both sections should pass over the front of the child. Make sure that they are
correctly fitted.
•
Insert the buckle through the side slot between the backrest and the seat of the
SCOUT. Fasten the buckle (fig.20).
•
Lastly, tighten the harness until it fits the child correctly.
Maintenance
•
Regularly inspect the child safety seat.
•
Keep the child safety seat clean.
Removing the upholstery
•
To take the upholstery off the backrest, first you need to release the harness from
the distribution plate and the chest protector pads. Next, unfasten the two zips, clip
and Velcro strip found on the back of the headrest. Lastly, unfasten the two side clips
and take the upholstery off.
•
Take the upholstery off the backrest before taking the upholstery off the seat.
Unfasten the two side clips that fasten the upholstery to the seat, and take the
upholstery off.
•
To put the upholstery back on, follow the same steps in reverse.
WARNING: The upholstery is part of the SCOUT, and it is a very important part for
the child's safety. Do not use the product without its upholstery.
Cleaning the upholstery
•
The plastic parts should be cleaned using a cloth with warm water and mild soap.
•
The textile parts should be washed following the instructions on their care labels.
