Installing the clamping support

1. Insert the clamping plate (Fig. 13, item 1) into the
T-slot on the clamping support (Fig. 13, item 3). The
arrow (Fig. 13, item 2) must point toward the drive
motor on the EPS. If this is not the case, rotate the
clamping plate 180°.
2. Secure the clamping plate (Fig. 13, item 1) with 2
hex socket head cap screws M12 x 35.
3. Insert eccentric pin (Fig. 13, item 4) into the hole in
the clamping support (Fig. 13, item 3).

4. The washer (Fig. 13, item 5) of the eccentric pin
must be pressed into the recess on the underside of
the clamping support (Fig. 13, item 3). If necessary,
rotate the eccentric pin until the washer matches
the opening. Then push in the washer.
5. Secure eccentric pin with washers and hex nuts.
6. Install the second eccentric pin (see steps 3 and 4).

Attach the O-ring 8 x 2.5 (Fig. 14, item 1).
4.3
Software installation
i
The software "EPS945-VDO" and CD-TestData
2017/B or higher is needed to test a VDO-CP. The
VDO – TestData database is installed when the
CD-TestData is installed. In conjunction with the
appropriate equipment, the "EPS945" software can
be used to test Bosch components.
