The CPX−CP interface, type CPX−CP−4−FB is intended exclus
ively for fitting into Festo CPX terminals. The designated
Festo CP valve terminals and CP−IO modules can be con
nected at the CPX−CP interface.
The maximum limits in the technical specifications must
not be exceeded. Detailed information can be found in the
manual for the CPX−CP interface P.BE−CPX−CP−.. as well as
in the CPX system manual P.BE−CPX−SYS−.. .
Warning
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (this will prevent functional
damage).
S Use only power units which guarantee reliable
isolation of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation
resistance (Protected Extra Low Voltage PELV).
Switch power packs are permitted, providing they
guarantee reliable isolation in accordance with
EN 60950/VDE 0805.
S Connect an earth conductor of sufficient cross−sec
tional area to the connection on the CPX terminal
marked with the earth/ground symbol.
S The CPX−CP interface contains electrostatically sensi
tive components. Do not touch the electrical contacts
of the components. Observe the regulations for
handling electrostatically sensitive components.
Please note
Commission only a CPX terminal which has been fitted
and wired completely.
