Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Do not select a large rim-mount faucet or large deck-mount
faucet for this product. These faucets may be inadvertently used as a means of support and are not
appropriate or safe for this installation. Select a wall-mount faucet or alternative deck-mount faucet.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Lift the whirlpool by the rim at multiple points.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. To avoid rust marks on your product, ensure the roofing nails or
non-tapered flathead screws are galvanized or plated. If using galvanized or plated non-tapered flathead
screws, do not overtighten the screws. Excessive tightening can damage the wall flange. Consult local
building codes to determine if the screws or nails must be galvanized or plated.
NOTICE: Risk of product damage. Do not install the whirlpool over open floor joists. The basin area
requires no additional support when the subfloor is level and square with the stud framing. Install the
whirlpool on an adequately supported, level subfloor. Use shims for additional support if the subfloor is
uneven.
Observe all applicable plumbing, electrical, and building codes.
This whirlpool is designed for drop-in installations. Alcove installations require ledger strips.
An optional apron is available for the 60" (1524 mm) long (7626, 7627, and 7628 Series) models.
Upon receipt, check for shortages or damage. Report any shortages or damage immediately.
Do not remove the old fixture before you unpack and inspect the new unit.
Store the whirlpool in a safe place until you begin installation to avoid damage.
If remodeling, measure the existing framework before removing the old whirlpool to make sure that
the new whirlpool will fit. Make sure that the drain is in the correct location.
Confirm adequate mounting and connection space for the water supply and drain installation.
If your whirlpool is shipped with a liner, keep the liner in place until construction is complete. If a
liner is not available, position a clean drop cloth or similar material in the bottom of the whirlpool.
