MEASURE: Begin by measuring the depth, the
width, and the inside rise on both ends of the
shower curb. Be sure to record these dimensions.
MARK: Next, mark one of the back corners 7"
from both outside edges. Then, using a speed
square, mark the two corners creating a square.
Next take the shower width dimension recorded
earlier and measure from the already marked
square and create another mark on the opposite
end of the sheet membrane. Create a 7" square
using that mark.
CUT AND FLAP: After corners are marked cut the
inside corner and fold creating a flap.
For the curb side corners at the shower entry, take
the shower depth dimension recorded and mark 7"
from the outside edge. Using the square, outline
the front corners.
CUT AND REMOVE: Next measure 2.5" from the
inside line to the edge and mark the corner with
a straight edge. This is the rise of the curb on the
inside of the shower, which should be cut and
removed. Next measure the shower width from
the already marked inside line and create another
mark with a straight edge on the opposite end of
the sheet membrane. Again measure 2.5" from the
inside line to the edge and mark the corner with a
straight edge. This is the other rise of the curb on
the inside of the shower, which should be cut and
removed.
FOLD: Finally, fold in the edges of the sheet
membrane leaving 7" that will fold up the wall on all
three sides. Sheet membrane is now ready to be
installed in the shower pan. With a small batch of
thinset, fill in the key holes on the perimeter of the
Universal Flange Adaptor, which will bond and fill
voids before installing the sheet membrane.
MESURER : Commencez par mesurer la
