In order to operate reinforced grinding and cutting wheels,
the wheel guard must be installed.
Wheel guard assembly and adjustment:
Mount wheel guard 4 to the angle head 1, depress positio-
ning lever 3 and adjust to required position. Before opera-
ting the tool, observe that position lever is back in locking
position.
Air supply requirements
The ISO/DIS quality specifications require, that air is free
of solid particles larger than 5 micron, remaining water
content to be max. 6 g/m3 (pressure dew point +3 degree
C) and air may contain 5 mg/m3 of oil. Therefore please
observe the following:
• Operating with dirty and unlubricated air reduces tool
life substantially.
Before installing extension hoses, blow them clean and
minimize , if at all necessary coupling and keep them
clean.
• Conserve
Put some drops of oil in the air inlet and briefly blow
through.
Safety Instructions:
• Do not exceed max. operating speed of tool and clam-
ping element.
• Observe accurate mounting of tools.
• Secure work, use clamps or a vise to hold work.• The
grinder operator shall wear safety goggles or face
shield at all times when the grinder is in operation.
• If noise level exceeds 85 dB(A) at the work station,
operator must use ear protection (plugs and/or ear
mufflers).

Operation conditions and instructions
The machine can be turned on and off by turning the lever.
1. Turn locking lever in direction indicated by arrow , and 2.
Depress valve lever 13.
Grinding/Deburring/Cleaning
• Never use a cut-off wheel for grinding/snagging.
• Observe even material removal, avoid chattering.
• Do not treat any material containing asbestos.
Change of tools/abrasives
• Lock spindle 2 with Lock button 8. Attention: only use
lock button, when machine is at a complete stop.
• Remove or mount flange nut 6+/or 22 using 2-Pin
Wrench. Clean mounting set before installation.
Attention: Tight sitting tools have to removed with open
end wrench , rather then with lock button operation.
• Check concentricity, use only vibration free tools and
always observe M.O.S. (Max. operating speed).
Maintenance
• Store tool in a clean, dry place.
Check the idling speed from time to time.
• Even if the tool still gives satisfactory service, have it
checked by a trained mechanic after 300 to 400 opera-
tion hours, or at least once a year. Disassembly motor,
clean and replace if necessary the four vanes.
Also check/replace grease -Molykote BR 2 plus- in the
gear head 9 (don't clean it).
• Warranty claims can only be considered, if tool is retur-
ned complete.
