INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
The KRATOS SAFETY standing seam aluminium anchorage point is a temporary and easily transportable anchorage device in accordance with EN 795:
2012 Type A and European PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425. This anchorage point was designed to protect the safety of users anywhere there is a risk of
falls. User safety relies on the effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this user guide.
There is only one version: FA 60 034 00. It can only be used by one person at a time. It must be installed for the period of use and then removed from
the work site when it is no longer being used, this is made easier as it attaches to the reception structure without any need for drilling or specific tool. No
intervention on the underside is necessary for it to be set up, only the set of fasteners supplied with the anchorage point is necessary. This set of fasteners
is composed of 6 sets of 2 screws: one (1) diam. 8 mm threaded pins hexagonal socket with rounded end and the other (2) 8 mm diam pan head cup point
hexagonal grub. You MUST always keep this kind of fixing.

Prior to installation:

The anchorage point must be installed in a structure that can stand up to the pressure exerted by the anchorage point in the event of a fall: R> 12 kN,
therefore, standing seam fittings should be preferred. The roof's load-bearing structure must be statically stable. When in doubt, contact a structural
engineer. Standing seam panels should have a minimum thickness of 0.5 mm and the profile of the standing seam shall be freely installed in the housing
provided for this purpose (max. dim: 16 mm x 40 mm).
If this anchorage point is installed on a structure other than a standing seam roof, the above characteristics must still be respected.
It is prohibited to use the device with structures with small dimensions and corrosion as this can affect the performance of the device.
During installation, the places where the anchorage points will be mounted should be determined; obviously roof access points and places where
maintenance will need to take place (chimneys, gutters, etc.), in particular, must be fitted with them.
Position :
The anchorage point must be installed in a location where it can be safely connected/disconnected.
The choice of location must take into account:
• the clearance needed for the fall protection system connected to the anchorage device,
• the risk associated with the pendulum effect in the event of a fall,
• the fall factor.
It is recommended that installation of this anchorage point be supervised by a qualified individual.
Respect the direction of load application in the event of a fall:
You MUST check before proceeding with the installation that the 6 cylindrical head screws are placed on the same side
on the body of the product (and consequently same check for the 6 grub screws).
Installation :
You must bring a 8 mm Allen key and a 5 mm Allen key allowing to control the tightening torque.
1°) Unscrew the 6 sets of 2 screws.
2°) Install the standing seam in the housing provided for this purpose on the anchorage point, making sure to place the grub
screws with rounded end on face A side.
3°) Check that the 6 sets of 2 screws are located at the lower level of the standing seam (orange zone).
4°) Screw the 6 sets of 2 screws, tightening torque to apply: 20 Nm. When tightening, take care to distribute the tightening
of the 6 sets of screws linearly
►The anchorage point is ready to be used.
A LIFELINE MAY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE FIXED BETWEEN TWO ANCHORAGE POINTS ON STANDING SEAM.
During prolonged use (over several hours), it is necessary to regularly check the tightness of the 6 screws. Similarly, if you interrupt your work for a
short time (and even more so if the anchorage is no longer under your supervision), you must check the tightness of the 6 screws again before reusing
the product.
This anchorage point must be used with a self-retracting, fall arrest on belay support or energy absorber lanyard fall arrest system which limits the fall
arrest force to 6 kN. It is not recommended to use this anchorage point with a hanging/rope access work system.
