For Your Safety

Working safely with this machine is
possible only when the operating
and safety information are read
completely and the instructions
contained therein are strictly fol-
lowed.
In addition, the general safety
notes in the enclosed booklet must
be observed.
Before using for the first time, ask
for a practical demonstration.
Wear ear protection to prevent damage
to your hearing.
Wear safety glasses and sturdy shoes.
For long hair, wear hair protection.
Work only with close-fitting clothes.
If the cable is damaged or cut through while work-
s
ing, do not touch the cable but immediately pull the
mains plug. Never use the machine with a dam-
aged cable.
Connect machines that are used outdoors by
s
means of a fault current protection switch (FI) with
a maximum triggering current of 30 mA. Use only
an extension cable that is approved for outdoor
use.
Always direct the cable to the rear away from the
s
machine.
Use suitable detectors to find hidden utility
s
lines or call the local utility company for as-
sistance. Contact with electric lines can lead to
fire or electrical shock. Damaging a gas line can re-
sult in an explosion. Penetrating a water pipe will
cause property damage or an electrical shock.
Operate the machine only with the auxiliary handle
s
12 .
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped
s
with clamping devices or in a vice is held more se-
cure than by hand.
Place the machine on the nut/screw only when
s
switched off.
For screwdriving, work using the first gear or with a
s
low speed.
Be careful when screwing in long screws; danger
s
of sliding off.
When working with the machine, always hold it
s
firmly with both hands and provide for a secure
stance.

s
machine only if the original accessories intended

Changing the Drill Chuck
Do not carry the machine by the replace-
ment drill chuck!
The SDS-plus replacement drill chuck can be easily
exchanged for the quick clamping replacement drill
chuck supplied with the drill hammer.
Hammer drilling and chiselling is possible only with
SDS-plus tools that can be inserted in the SDS-plus
replacement drill chuck.
Drilling and screwdriving is also possible with tools that
are not SDS-plus (e.g., round shaft drills, screwdriver
bits) which are clamped in the quick clamping replace-
ment drill chuck.
Removing the Replacement Drill Chuck

A
Danger of injury! Before removing the re-
placement
the tool or bit.
Grasp the locking ring 6 of the SDS-plus replacement
drill chuck and pull forcefully in the direction of the ar-
