TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Will not start/stops
working
Excessive vibration
or noise.
CAUSE
◾
The power plug is not
connected into place.
◾
The EGO portable battery
pack or the EGO backpack
battery is depleted.
◾
The battery or the string
trimmer is hot.
◾
The string trimmer motor
is overloaded.
◾
The grease in the gear
case is nearly run out.
◾
The cutting line is
unbalanced.

SOLUTION
◾
Reinsert the power cord plug,
ensuring that the GREEN seal on the
plug is COMPLETELY disappearing
into the socket.
◾
Depending on battery type, choose
the appropriate charger to charge
the battery.
◾
Disconnect the battery from the
string trimmer and allow the
battery or the string trimmer to
cool until its temperature drops
below 152°F (67°C).
◾
The motor will recover when the
load is removed. For continuous
work, decrease the load on the
string trimmer, avoid too long or
oversize cutting line or cutting on
the heavy/woody shrubs.
◾
Lubricate the drive gears in the
gear case, refer to "LUBRICATING
THE DRIVE GEAR" section in this
manual.
◾
Lightly tap the trimmer head on
the ground while operating with
the trimmer head. If necessary, tap
several times.
