3.2.3. MIG/MAG SYSTEM START-UP.
1 ) Ma ke sure the ma ins volta g e is 2 3 0 V.
2 ) Connect supply ca ble with the suita ble plug to the releva nt single -pha se ta p. See se ction 2 .2 .
3 ) Cha nge the pola rity if it is necessa ry. The torch must be to positive in MIG /MAG with ga s process.
4 ) If the ma teria l to be welded is a luminium, cha nge the flexible ca ble a nd the wire g uide tube for the g ra phite ca ble
with the torch tota lly stretched.
5 ) Depending on the wire dia meter, fit the groove of the suita ble driving wheel to the work to be ca rried out.
6 ) Choose suita ble ga s to wire type to be welde d. If it ha s a mobile worksta tion, check tha t the g a s bottle is securely
held by the bottle -holde r system. Above a ll che ck tha t the sa fety cha in is perfectly fa stened.
7 ) Insta ll the pressure-reducing va lve a nd connect g a s hose che cking tha t there a re no le a ka ges, throughout the
whole circuit.
8 ) Fit the wire reel into the support a xle .
9 ) Fit the welding wire into the driving syste m. Do not force the wire pressure ha ndle , a s if this is too tight, the motor
rema ins on overloa d a nd does not rea ch the ma ximum spee d, a nd if the ha ndle is too sla ck, the wire could slip.
1 0 ) O nce the wire ha s bee n fitte d, we ca n the n cone ct the MIG /MAG torch. The wire is loa ded into the torch via the
wire purge pushbutton.
