1.5. Maintenance and repair
• Do not open or disassemble the UPS under any circumstances.
• The UPS works with dangerous voltages. Any repairs must be carried out
exclusively by qualified personnel.
• Caution - Risk of electric shock. Even after disconnecting from the network, the
internal wiring remains connected to the battery and the voltage is dangerous.
• Before performing any type of service and / or maintenance, disconnect the
batteries, verifying that there is no current or risk of voltage, including those created
by high capacity capacitors.
• Only people who are qualified to deal with batteries and do so with the necessary
measures and precautions can replace the batteries and control operations.
• Caution - Risk of electric shock. The battery is not isolated from the input voltage
circuit. There may be dangerous voltages between the battery and ground terminals.
Before touching anything, please check that there is no tension!
• Batteries can cause electric shock and short circuits. Please take the precautions
below and any other necessary measures when working with batteries, such as
removing watches, rings and other metal objects, as well as using only tools with
insulated handles.
• When changing batteries, install the same quantity and type of batteries.
• Do not try to throw it away or burn the batteries, because they could explode.
• Do not open or destroy batteries. The electrolyte that is released can damage the
skin and eyes. The battery is toxic.
• Please replace the fuse only with another of the same type and amperage to avoid
the risk of fire.
