REPAIR AND CLEANING PROCEDURE / PROCEDIMIENTOS DE REPARACIÓN Y LIMPIEZA
CLEAN OR REPLACE THE PISTON VALVE / LIMPIAR O SUSTITUIR EL PISTÓN

1. To clean or replace the piston valve (79) it is necessary dismantle
completely the pump. Separate the foot valve (87) and packing nut
(66), follow this sections in order:
- Separate the air motor from the pump (page 5).
- Replace the foot valve (steps 1 to 3) (page 10).
- Replace the packing nut (page 10).
2. Use the outlet adaptor/bleed valve to unscrew the outlet body (70)
from the tube (80). Do not damage the tube by over tightening the
vice. Remove o-ring (71).
3. A soft faced hammer should now used to gently strike the end of the
packing rod (72) until the piston assembly and particularly the seal
(75) are pushed from the pump tube. With the seals free the piston
and the packing rod assembly should be free and can now be pulled
out of the pump tube.
4. Remove the pump tube (80) from the vice. Hold the connecting rod
(72) close to down spiral pin (78) in the vice and remove the pin by
tapping it through the hole with a hammer and pin punch.
5. Remove the connecting rod (72) from the vice. Unscrew the valve
(79) and remove the piston (76) from the valve.
6. Remove the piston guide (77), the circlip (73), the ring (74) and the
U-ring (75).
It is recommend that after thorough cleaning and examination of the
components, any that show signs of wear or damage are replaced
prior to re-assembly.
In addition to any damaged items all of the seals should be replaced.
7. Assemble the pump following all steps, reversing each.

1. Para limpiar o cambiar la válvula del pistón (79) es necesario
desmantelar completamente la bomba. Retire la válvula de entrada
(87) y el casquillo porta-juntas (66), siga estas secciones en orden:
- Cómo separar el motor de aire de la bomba (pág. 5).
- Limpie o sustituya el casquillo porta-juntas (pasos 1 a 3) (pág. 10).
- Limpie o sustituya la válvula de entrada (pág. 10).
2. Desenrosque el cuerpo de salida (70) del cilindro (80), puede
ayudarse del codo o racor en el cuerpo para facilitar la operación.
Retire la junta tórica (71) del cuerpo de entrada. No realice un apriete
excesivo en el tornillo de banco que pueda dañar al cilindro.
3. Golpee suavemente el final del vástago (72) con un martillo de cabeza
blanda hasta liberar la junta del pistón (75) del cilindro. Extraiga
manualmente el conjunto de vástago-pistón del cilindro.
4. Retire el cilindro (80) del tornillo de banco. Ahora, fije el vástago (72) al
tornillo de banco próximo al pin pasante inferior (78). Extraiga el pin
inferior (78) con ayuda de un botador y un martillo.
5. Retire el vástago (72) del banco. Desenrosque la válvula (79) y
extraiga el pistón (76).
6. Quite el aro de guía (77). Retire el anillo de retención (73) y extraiga el
anillo (74) y el collarín (75).
Tras una minuciosa limpieza y revisión de los componentes, se
recomienda sustituir todos aquellos que presenten daños o desgaste
antes del montaje. Además de las piezas dañadas todas las juntas
deben ser sustituidas.
7. Monte la bomba revertiendo los pasos anteriormente seguidos.
