POST-PURGE
Post-purging is a function that allows you to maintain the air purg-
ing even after the burner is switched off in the absence of the heat
request for a pre-set time.
The burner switches off the flame when the heat request thermo-
stat opens, cutting off the fuel supply to the valves.
The post-purge function is not performed:
after a lockout
if the heat request is interrupted during pre-purging.
Post-purging occurs:
if the heat request is interrupted during the safety time;
if the heat request is interrupted during normal operation.
NOTE:
If during post-purging there is an extraneous light or a para-
site flame the burner goes into lockout after 25 seconds.
If during post-ventilation there is a new heat request, the
post-purging time is halted, the fan motor stops and a new
burner operating cycle starts.

When the pre-heating is disabled, the pre-heating remains off
until:
– a lockout occurs
– the main supply voltage is interrupted
– there is a stop due to intermittent operation.
The deactivation of the automatic pre-heating function is not lost
if the switching off test function is active or if the heat request
thermostat opens.
