3.2 Hazards
• The Catalyser is an electric device and, as
EN
such, carries with it a certain inherent potential
hazard.
• The unit may only be operated with a power
cord equipped with a plug appropriate to the
local power supply. Thus plug may only be
installed by a qualified electrician.
• The unit may only be taken into service if the
information on the nameplate corresponds with
the specifications of the local power supply.
• The unit may only be connected to a properly
grounded power supply.
• Damaged power cords must be immediately
replaced.
• The unit must be disconnected from the pow-
er supply prior to beginning any maintenance
work on its electrical components.
• Only intended for indoor use. The unit is only
designed for dry applications and may not be
operated or stored outdoors or under wet con-
ditions.
• Regularly inspect connecting lines and hoses
(e.g., the power cord) for damage (e.g., kinks,
cracks, porosity) or signs of aging.
• Units exhibiting damaged connecting lines,
hoses, or other defects must be taken out of
service immediately.
• The unit will become hot during operation.
Allow it to cool off before attempting to perform
any cleaning or maintenance work.
• Only spare parts and accessories supplied or
authorized by Renfert GmbH may be used with
this product. If other spare parts or accessories
are used, this could have a detrimental effect
on the safety of the device, increase the risk of
serious injury and lead to damage to the envi-
ronment or the device itself.
• It is the responsibility of the operator that na-
tional regulations during operation and regard-
ing a repeated safety inspection of electrical
equipment are complied with. For Germany
these are the regulation 3 by DGUV (German
Statutory Accident Insurance) in relation with
VDE 0701-0702 (Association for Electrical,
Electronic and Information Technology) .

port area.

3.3 Liability Exclusion

Renfert GmbH shall be absolved from all claims for
damages or warranty if:
• The product is employed for any purposes
other than those cited in the operating instruc-
tions;
• The product is altered in any way other than
those alterations described in the operating
instructions;
• The product is repaired by other than an autho-
rised facility or if any but Renfert OEM parts are
employed;
• The product continues to be employed, despite
obvious safety faults or damage;
• The product is subjected to mechanical im-
pacts or is dropped.
4. Commissioning
4.1 Mounting the Catalyser
Loosen the fastening screws on the preheating
oven and remove the flue (Figure 1).
Install the Catalyser's mounting plate (Figure 2).
Before mounting the Catalyser, make sure its
fastening screw is retracted (Figure 3).
Push the Catalyser completely onto the mounting
plate up to the stop (Figure 4).
Tighten the Catalyser's fastening screw (Figure 5).
4.2 Connecting the Catalyser
Before connecting the unit to the wall out-
let, make sure the voltage information on
the nameplate corresponds to your local
power supply!
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Use the included cord to connect the Catalyser to
the oven (Figure 6 / Figure 7).
Make sure none of the cords come into
contact with the oven surface.
5. Operation
The Magma preheating oven's controller
will automatically detect the presence of a
connected Renfert Catalyser.
The Catalyser is controlled solely by the preheating
oven's internal controller.
There are no operating or control elements on the
Catalyser itself.
6. Maintenance
Attention!
Unplug the Catalyser from the oven prior
to beginning any cleaning or maintenance
work.
Burn hazard!
The unit will become hot during operation.
Allow it to cool off before attempting to per-
form any cleaning or maintenance work.
