Maintenance
This instrument cannot be serviced or repaired by the user. If service or repair is necessary, the instrument must
be sent to an authorized service center.
Clean the instrument
Clean the exterior of the instrument with a moist cloth and a mild soap solution.
Clean the colorimeter
Clean the colorimeter every 60 days, or when a warning or alarm occurs. Instructions for cleaning the
colorimeter are included with the 1735 TRO Cleaning Kit. Refer to
Replace the reagents
Replace the reagents every 60 days or when the instrument shows that the reagent is low. To
configure the instrument to monitor the reagent hours and volume that remain, refer to Modbus
registers on the documentation CD. For replacement reagents, refer to
Replace the tubing
Replace the tubing when it shows damage. Replacement instructions are included with the
maintenance kit. Refer to
Take the instrument out of service
The steps that follow are done at the instrument. For hazardous locations, the manufacturer
recommends the use of remote commands through the ballast water control system.
1. Go to INSTRUMENT SETUP>MAINTENANCE>RUN/STANDBY MODE.
2. Obey the screen prompts to put the instrument into standby mode.
3. When the instrument is in standby, disconnect the instrument from power.
Troubleshooting
Warning list
A warning symbol will show when a possible problem condition is present
use the UP or DOWN arrows to see the warning message. The instrument will continue operation
when a warning condition is present
