(Fig. 25), cleaning fluids (Fig. 26), paints (Fig. 27), decals (Fig. 28), or other external influences
(Fig. 29). These ski goggles represent the best possible, state-of-the-art eye protection against
external damage. They offer standard protection against UVA, UVB and UVC radiation, and many
models also offer stronger protection. All of our brand models have an anti-fog coating on the
inside. The protection level or filter category of these ski goggles is indicated on the label on the
packaging (Fig. 7). This can be S0, S1, S2, S3, or S4. We recommend a filter category appropriate
to the weather conditions in order to protect your eyes optimally and ensure the best visibility.
The operating conditions are explained in Figures 30 to 34 (Fig. 30-34). They also protect against
wind, moisture, and snow. However, in the event of an impact with hard or sharp objects, they
can only offer limited protection. No ski goggles can protect the wearer against all possible
risks. All of our ski goggles meet the European standard EN 174:2001. As part of this standard,
the goggles are tested for visual requirements, mechanical stability, tightness, and protection
against inflammability. You can find the lens technology used in your goggles on the packag-
ing label (Fig. 1) or printed on the lens of your ski goggles. Quattroflex lenses were especially
developed for skiing and their polarisation filter deviates significantly from the EN 174 standard.
Extensive practical testing, especially in professional racing, has confirmed that this deviation
guarantees an optimally improved contrast and makes surface structures more visible.
2. Purchasing ski goggles:
2.1 The right fit and trial fitting: The correct fit is especially important for ski goggles. The frame
should lie uniformly on the face, so that it is not possible for pressure marks to form. They
should also sit comfortably on the nose in order not to obstruct breathing when being worn. At
the same time, the goggles should be fastened by tightening the goggle strap so that the ski
