- Insert the O-ring
in the groove in the combustion chamber
insert
(not included) and connect with the Performance
cylinder head
.
- Mount the 6 screws
and seal rings
en crosswise to 20 Nm.
NOTE:
It is important that you use the new components (seal rings
and screws) contained in the scope of delivery.
- Mount the cylinder head hanger plate
- Mount the radiator hose.
- Position and tighten the hose clamp
- Install the spark plug
and tighten to 25 Nm.
- Mount the spark plug connector
- Mount the bleeder screw
(included) but do not tighten yet.
- Position the motorcycle vertically.
- Fill up the radiator with coolant (see the Owner's Manual).
- Unscrew the bleeder screw
- Mount the screw
again and tighten.
- Fill up the radiator with coolant.
Final steps:
- Install the fuel tank (see the Owner's Manual).
- Mount the seat (see the Owner's Manual).
- Check the coolant level (see the Owner's Manual).
The carburetor jetting must be adjusted to the selected
combustion chamber insert and your vehicle model year (e.g.
selected combustion chamber insert = Motocross type; vehicle
= 125 EXC MJ 09; carburetor jetting to be selected = 125 SX
MJ 09).
When using the "EXTREM" combustion chamber insert,
always select the SX carburetor jetting of your vehicle model
year.
More information on the carburetor jetting can be obtained
from your authorized dealer.
