SAFETY CAUTIONS

READ THESE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT!
• CAUTION: The plastic bags used to cover the unit or packaging may be dangerous.
To avoid all risk of suff ocation, keep these bags out of the reach of babies and
children. These bags are not toys.
• Always follow the instructions in this manual when using this appliance.
• Always place the motor housing on a level, stable, clean and dry surface.
• Always put the blade in place before adding the ingredients.
• Before turning the appliance on, make sure the blade or the disk is pushed down
onto the motor spindle as far as it will go and that the lid is properly positioned.
• Never place the blade or the disc on the motor spindle before the bowl is locked in
position.
• Handle the blades and the discs with great care. Avoid touching the sharp metal
edges. Never touch the blades when the appliance is plugged in.
• Turn the appliance off and unplug before changing the accessories or touching the
parts that move when the appliance is running. Always wait until the blade or disk
has come to a full stop before removing the pushers or the lid.
• Always use the pusher when grating or slicing food. Never use your fi ngers or any
other utensil to push.
• Remove the bowl from the base before taking the blade out. Never leave the blade
on the motor spindle when the appliance is not in use. Store the blades and disks out
of the reach of children.
• Never overload the appliance. If the motor stalls, turn the appliance off and unplug it.
Remove some of the food, wait 15 minutes, the turn it on again.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot appliance. Do not use on heat sensitive
surfaces or near infl ammable materials.
• Never let the cord hang over the edge of the work surface and never let it come in
contact with hot surfaces.
