Examples of Handling the TD 390
Select language
Select the language in the "Defaults" operating mode. The language on
the delivered unit is set to German.
Activity
1. Enable the language function
(Defaults operating mode).
2. Place cursor in 2nd line
(see figure above to the right)
3. Select language by paging
4. Set English and terminate input.
The cursor is then in the first
line.
5. Exit to basic operating mode:
Press key several times
6. Confirm "Exit" function

Displaying Messages

Task
Display messages stored in the DB51 (DB no. preset in the TD)
controlled by the flag bits F0.7 and F0.6. A process value appears in one
of these messages.
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1. Connect a PG to the PLC.
2. Enter messages in DB51.
3. Generate an instruction sequence (here in FB11)
– to transfer the process value to the DB.
– to set flag bits for the display text.
4. Connect the TD 390 to the PLC.
