System operation errors are detected.
Correcting a CHECK Condition
If the CHECK Indicator LED is lit during RF power delivery, follow these
steps:
1. Ensure that the connection between the Probe and ESU is correct
and secure.
2. Ensure that the connection between each DIP Electrode and the
ESU is correct and secure.
3. Ensure that each DIP Electrode is properly applied.
4. If an improper cable connection is not the cause of the CHECK
PROBE condition, then a build-up of coagulum on the Probe
electrodes may be the cause, and RF power output should be
discontinued.
5. To discontinue RF power delivery, refer to the instructions in Section
7, Turning the RF Power Delivery "OFF".
Correcting a REPLACE Condition
If the REPLACE PROBE LED is lit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the connection between the Probe and the ESU is
correct and secure.
2. Replace the instrument cable, if the REPLACE PROBE condition
persists.
3. Replace the Probe, if replacing the instrument cable does not correct
the REPLACE PROBE condition.
Correcting a SYSTEM FAULT Condition
To correct a SYSTEM FAULT Condition:
1) Correct any operating conditions that are outside the ESU's normal
operating range.
2) Turn the ESU "OFF." Wait approximately 4 seconds before turning
the ESU "ON". Allow the ESU to perform the Power-On-Self-Test
(POST).
3) If the SYSTEM FAULT Condition reoccurs, Call AtriCure for

Servicing the ESU System
The ESU requires no routine service or maintenance. If the ESU fails to
operate when plugged into a proper AC power receptacle and the power
switch is turned on, check the fuse (refer to Replacing the Fuses in this
