4.3.5 Limit values Li 1 and Li 0 – (M7/M8) :
The relay contact functions according to the operating current
principle , i.e. the port becomes active when the reading exceeds
the adjusted limit value and the relay contact will be closed (normally
closed function). The limit value LI 1 defines the parameter to open
the relay contact (for example,80 bar). To close the relay contact (for
example 70 bar) the limit value is defined with LI 0 (M8) . Through the
free choice of these limit values, a
hysteresis function is made
possible:

Setting limit values
This way it is possible to do simple control tasks (two-position
controller). If the limit value is exceeded, a decimal point lights up on
the display.
Fig.8:
Limit value overranged
M7 is selected with the + / - keys and the parameter selection is
activated. Then set the limit value Li 1 (upper limit value) with the
+ / - keys. The setting procedure is ended by pressing SET .
M8 is selected with the + / - keys and the parameter selection is
activated. Then set the limit value Li 0 (lower limit value) with the
+ / - keys. The setting procedure is ended by pressing SET .
To ensure a logical control sequence, the following conditions must
be fulfilled:
Li 0 (lower limit value) < Li 1 (upper limit value)
By setting a hysteresis, relay fluttering is avoided!!
