8.4 Charging directions.
The battery pack can be charged either out of the bike or installed
on the bike
Charging the battery out of the bike.
1. Remove battery pack from the frame.
3. Connect the charger to the battery using the bridge adaptor (b).
4. Connect the charger to the mains supply. Charging begins.
Charging the battery installed on the bike.
1. Switch off the bike.
2. Insert the charger connector into the charging port (c).
3. Connect the charger to the mains supply. Charging begins.
Warning: Avoid soiling on the charging connections and the
contacts.

Charging Process.
Charging begins automatically as soon as the battery charger is
connected to the battery pack and the mains supply.
The current battery charge is shown at the charging status display
on the battery pack (a) when the charge begins. The LEDs showing
the charging status will automatically switch off after a few minutes.
In order to check the charging status during the battery charge, push
the LEDs display button. The green LED showing the current charge
(a).
will blink.
Once the battery pack is completely charged, the charger will show
a green light (b). The charging process is completed.
1. Disconnect the battery charger from the mains supply.
2. Disconnect the battery pack from the charger.

Warning: The battery charger can become very hot during
charging, especially when ambient temperatures are high.
