Operation
en
5.1
Preparing the object
Inspect the object for unstable areas or damage before cleaning it in the appliance.
These areas may be affected by chemical and mechanical stress during cleaning.
Delicate areas and function elements (such as thin crown margin, electroplated parts, friction sur-
faces of external telescopes) may be damaged.
As a rule, these will have to be covered with an appropriate wax / silicone layer.
High-gloss areas may become dulled through cleaning. In these cases, we recommend a post-pol-
ishment. If necessary, cover the high-gloss areas with an appropriate wax / silicone layer before
cleaning.
If there are any denture adhesive cream deposits on the objects to be cleaned, they must be re-
moved with a dry cleaning cloth prior to the cleaning process.
5.2
Filling the cleaning vessel
For use in the SYMPRO denture cleaning unit
⇒ Select the cleaning cup and cleaning agent suitable for the cleaning task (see table 45 and 46)
⇒ Fill the cleaning bowl with:
- the cleaning pins
- objects to be cleaned
- Cleaning agents (Please refer to the instructions for use in the help:ex operating manuals and safety
data sheets)
⇒ Close the cup completely (ensure that the lid / seal is correctly in place) and insert it into the unit
Never operate the unit with the cleaning beaker open!
Only use the cleaning fluid once!
The object to be cleaned could cause a bacterial contamination of the cleaning fluid. Therefore,
the cleaning fluid must be replaced for each new cleaning process.
5.3
Select the cleaning time and intensity
⇒ Adjust the cleaning time with the + / - buttons (9, Fig 2)
(range 0 to 30 minutes)
⇒ Use the selection button (8, Fig 2) to select / set the intensity
Refer to Table in Chapter 4.6 for the recommended intensity
and cleaning time.
The cleaning time in the unit depends on the cleaning object,
the set cleaning intensity and the type and degree of soiling.
We recommend checking in between, especially for sensitive
cleaning objects and if you do not have much experience in
working with the unit.
In the case of particularly stubborn residues, an extended running time (+ max. 10 min.) and short,
manual cleaning with a hard toothbrush under running water can help to further improve the
cleaning results.
Never open the cleaning beaker in the device!
