Preparation
Keep the packaging material for safe storage or
transport later.
f Check that the contents are complete.
f Check all the parts for possible transport damage.
Safety
Caution! Damage due to incorrect power supply.
f Only operate the appliance with the voltage
stated on the nameplate.
Charging the battery
1. Switch off the appliance using the on/off switch (Fig. 3ⓑ).
2. Plug the small appliance plug into the appliance socket
(Fig. 2ⓐ).
3. Connect the mains plug to the mains power supply
(Fig. 2ⓑ). The charging process starts.
· During charging, the charging indicator shines
green.
· In order to ensure a long operating life of the bat-
tery pack, it should always be completely empty
prior to recharging.
Battery operation
1. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch, and
switch off after use (Fig. 3ⓐ/ⓑ).

Foil shave
1. Remove the protective cap.
2. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch (Fig. 3ⓐ).
3. Gently guide the shaver upward against the skin surface
and shave against the direction of the beard growth (Fig.
9). At the same time, pull the skin tight with your free hand
so that the stubble stands up.
Caution! Damage due to incorrect operation.
f Avoid too much pressure on the shaver foil; this
could lead to foil breakages.
4. Use the on/off switch to switch off the appliance after use
(Fig. 3ⓑ).
5. Place the protective cap back onto the device.
Maintenance
Warning! Injuries and material damage due to
incorrect handling.
f Switch off the appliance before cleaning it or
performing any maintenance and disconnect it
from the mains.
Cleaning and care
Danger! Electric shock due to penetration of
liquid.
f Do not immerse the appliance in water!
f Do not allow any liquid to get inside the
appliance.
Caution! Danger from aggressive chemicals.
Aggressive chemicals could damage the appliance
and accessories.
f Never use solvents or scouring agents.
Caution! Damage from incorrectly cleaning the
shaver foil.
Never clean the shaver foil with the cleaning brush
because this could damage the shaver foil.
f Tap the shaving head with the shaver foil on a
level surface and blow off the hair.
· Accessories and spare parts are available from
your dealer or our service centre.
f Remove the shaving head from the housing (Fig. 4). Tap
the shaving head with the shaver foil on a level surface and
blow off the hair. Remove the hair clippings from the cutter
with the cleaning brush (Fig. 5).
f Only wipe the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
f Reattach the protective cap after cleaning.
· If the shaving performance deteriorates after
long use despite regular cleaning, the cutter and
the shaver foil should be replaced.
