1. Inserting the PROFINET communication module
NOTICE
Danger of material damage.
Before inserting the PROFINET communication module
de-energize the 3RW44 soft starter.
Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the cover as shown in Fig. 1 on page 23.
2. Insert the PROFINET communication module into the device as shown in Fig. 2 on page 23.
3. Fasten the PROFINET communication module with the attached screws.
4. Insert the PROFINET connecting cable into one of the sockets of the communication module.
NOTE
A maximum of two straight connectors, or one straight plus one angled connector, can be used at the same time.
5. Switch on the supply voltage.
The LED BUS flashes yellow. The communication module has been inserted correctly, but has not yet been activated.

NOTICE
The shield of the PROFINET cable must be brought to the
grounding potential of the equipment.
