HANDLE _________________________________________________________________

1. To adjust the angle of the handle bar (F), loosen
screw (D) on both sides of the mower and adjust the
handle bar to the desired position.
2. After adjusting handle bar, adjust bracket (E) so that
the handle bar just rests on the bottom of the slot in
bracket. Tighten screw (D). Check that handle
moves from bottom to top of slot in bracket (E)
without binding.

TRACTION BELTS _________________________________________________________

CAUTION
To prevent permanent damage to the belt, do not
twist, fold, bend. or overtighten the belt.
1. To adjust belt (G), assemble 5/16-18 x 1" hex head
screw (K) and 5/16-18 hex nut (L) to bottom of
bearing bracket (H). Loosen nuts (J).
2. Place bedknife gauge bar (M) on top of roller and
under screw (K). Tighten screw (K) until belt (G)
deflects 1/10" (2.5 mm) with 1 ~ 2 lb (0.45 ~ 0.91
kg) load applied at mid span.
3. Tighten nuts (J) and remove 5/16-18 x 1" screw (K)
and lower nut (L).
4. Place hardware (K and L) in a safe place for future
adjustments.
5. To adjust belt (N), loosen pivot hardware (P), and
pivot motor housing towards front of mower until belt
deflects 1/10" (2.5 mm) with 1 ~ 2 lb. (0.45 ~ 0.91
kg) load applied at mid span. Tighten hardware (P).
