If voltage is present in the brown cable, the monitor is switched on automatically
and the camera is activated.
➤ Connect the white cable to the positive cable of the instrument panel illumination (6).

Using the monitor

8.1
Switching the monitor on and off (fig. b, page 7)
➤ Switch the ignition on.
➤ Switch the monitor on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (1).
✓ The picture appears.
Note
I
If you have completely connected all of the monitor cables, the brightness
should be automatically reduced when the driving lights are switched on.
➤ Switch the monitor off with the ON/OFF switch (1).
✓ The picture disappears.
➤ When the ignition is turned on, the monitor should switch on as soon as reverse gear
has been selected.
➤ Switch out of reverse and the system switches back to stand-by.
8.2

Setting the monitor

➤ Set the brightness and contrast as required.
The inverter is located on the rear of the monitor (blue dip switch, fig. b 5, page 7) for
normal or inverted display on the monitor. With the inverted display, the monitor acts as
though you were looking in the rear-view mirror of your vehicle.

➤ Decide which type of display you want and switch the dip switch into the required po-
sition.

Cleaning and maintaining the monitor

Remove the cable before cleaning the monitor to prevent short circuiting.

Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning as these may
damage the device.
