In the seca 757 electronic baby scale, you
have purchased a high-precision yet stur-
dy piece of equipment.
seca has been putting its experience at
the service of health for over 150 years
now, and as market leader in many coun-
tries of the world, is always setting new
standards with its innovative develop-
ments for weighing and measuring.
In accordance with national regulations,
the seca 757 electronic baby scale is
used primarily in hospitals, doctors' sur-
geries and in-patient nursing facilities.
2. Safety
Before using the new scale, please take a little time to read the following safety instruc-
tions.
• Follow the safety instructions in the in-
struction manual.
• When using the scale with a mains unit,
ensure that the supply cable is routed in
such a way as to exclude any type of
tripping hazard.
• Use only the mains unit supplied.

3. Removing transport securing device

– Turn over the scale so that the base-
plate faces upwards.
– Unscrew both screws out of the base of
the scale and take off the transport se-
curing device.
– Turn the scale back up the right way.
Important!
Keep the transport securing device in a safe place, as the scale has to be secured
again to be transported any distance (see "Transport" on page 18).

Its maximum capacity is 15 kg, the display
has a resolution of 5 g.
A particular feature of this scale is the seri-
al interface for transmitting data to a com-
puter.
In addition, the scale has a HOLD function
to store the weight determined and a
TARE function so that additional weights
such as cloths or pads are ignored for
weighing.
The scale has Class III approval.
• Do not drop the scale or subject it to vi-
olent shocks.
• Have repairs carried out exclusively by
authorised persons.
• Have scale serviced and re-calibrated
on a regular basis (see "Servicing/recal-
ibration" on page 19).
