Connection to duct
Figure No. 12 and 13.
The reel should be connected to the fixed duct and high vacuum extraction
system with a connection hose.
NOTE! Ensure that the duct system is properly connected to earth.
NOTE! The hose must be fitted with hose clips. Do not drill or fit with screws.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
The damper plate in the reel outlet could cause squeeze injuries when the
hose is coiled up. Make sure the hose has been completely coiled up when the
reel is connected to the duct.
Secure conductivity
(Figure No. 12 and 13)
Every time a new cleaning equipment is connected to the hose, the
conductivity between the cleaning equipment and the reel must be measured
and secured. Electrical resistance to be below 1 MΩ.
Connection to cleaning equipment
WARNING!
Risk of fire or explosion.
Only conductive cleaning equipment (electrical resistance to be below 1 MΩ )
should be used. If the conductivity between the cleaning equipment and the
reel is not secured (electrical resistance to be below 1 MΩ) there is a risk of
fire or explosion.
Electrical installation
(Figure No. 14B)
To ensure proper function and required level of protection with regards to the
equipment category, make sure that the following points are checked:
•
Electrical installation must be done by a certified electrician. A certified
electrician must also pay attention to the conditions for installations in
zones classified according to ATEX.
•
Check that proper measures have been taken to avoid all types of
electrical stray currents to and/or from the piping system and electrical
wiring.
•
Connected hoses and/or piping must be conductive and grounded to the
reel earth connection point.
Earthing
(Figure No. 3a)
Connect earthing cable to earthing point on reel.
